What are the train station parking options for residents?
There are quite a few parking options available for residents who wish to park at or nearby the Hastings-on-Hudson train station:

1.  For those who commute on a regular basis, purchasing an annual parking permit in the Zinsser resident parking lot across the street from the train station might be the best option.  The cost is $525.00 per year and are first-come, first-served basis in November.

2.  Residents may also choose to purchase a resident virtual parking sticker (available online only) for $10, which allows them to park at metered spaces in the Zinsser lot and/or the Con Edison lot located next to Maud's Tavern.  Resident parking stickers are now virtual – a physical sticker will no longer need to be displayed on the vehicle.  Parking stickers will need to be renewed annually. The 2024 application is HERE (January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024).  For this parking option, all vehicles are required to be registered to a valid address in the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson. When parking in a metered space with a resident parking sticker it is still necessary to pay the pay station.  Both lots are 12-hour lots and cost $6.00 for those 12 hours 6AM to 6PM.

3.  Those residents who do not commute on a daily basis may want to park in the daily parking spaces located in the last 25 spaces on the east side of River Street closest to Harvest-on-Hudson restaurant. These spaces are available daily on a first-come, first served basis, and do not require any permit or sticker.  Payment is made through cash or credit card at a pay station located just before the entrance to the southbound train platform.  Parking rates are as follows: Daily - $5.00 per 16 Hours; 24-hours - $7.00 per day.

In both Zinsser and River Street lots, commuters can also pay for parking with their cell phone using Parkmobile’s mobile applications for smart phones. Register for free where you can download a mobile app. There is a daily transaction fee of $0.45 - $0.55 cents depending on your payment method.

4.  Lastly, residents have the option of purchasing an annual parking permit in the River Street non-resident parking lot, which has direct access to southbound train platform.  The cost is $570.00 per year and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis in November.

How can I get on the waiting list for a Zinsser parking permit?

Where can I park if I have a Zinsser parking permit and all the non-metered spaces are taken in the Zinsser parking lot?
The last row of the Steinschneider parking lot, which is located between West Main Street and Spring Street, has been designated overflow Zinsser lot resident permit parking.  There is a staircase in the southwest corner of the lot that will take you directly down to Southside Avenue.  After 11:00am those spaces become metered spaces.

What are the available train station parking options for non-residents?
There are two options for non-residents:

1.  Non-residents can purchase an annual parking permit in the River Street lot, which has direct access to southbound train platform.  The cost is $570 per year and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis in November.

2.  Non-residents who do not commute on a daily basis may want to park in the daily parking spaces located in the last 25 spaces on the east side of River Street closest to Harvest-on-Hudson restaurant. These spaces are available daily on a first-come, first served basis, and do not require any type of permit or sticker.  Payment is made through cash or credit card at a pay station located just before the entrance to the southbound train platform. The cost is as follows:  Daily - $5.00 per day; 24-hours - $7.00 per day.  Commuters can also pay for parking with their cell phone using Parkmobile’s mobile applications for smart phones.
