The Village Clerk is appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees, to a two-year term which coincides with the term of office of the Mayor. The Clerk has custody of all village records, papers, books and communications, as well as the reports and communications of the Board of Trustees. At meetings of the Board of Trustees, the Village Clerk also serves as Clerk of the Board and keeps a record of the meetings.

The Village Clerk issues permits for parking at the railroad station. See the Parking Information drop-down on the lefthand side of the page.

The Village Clerk's Office is also responsible for the maintenance of vital records in the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson. See Vital Records on the lefthand side of the page.

The Village Clerk's Office offers notarial services by appointment. Call ahead to schedule an appointment. 

The Village has adopted The Town of Greenburgh's assessment roll.  All grievances and exemptions are now filed in the Town of Greenburgh. Listed below are the filing dates:  

May 1:  Last date to file for new and renewal of exemptions

June 1:  Tentative assessment roll available

June 1-16,  Applications for grievances will be accepted only during this time frame at the Greenburgh Town Hall (177 Hillside Avenue, Greenburgh, NY)  


**Village Taxes are due twice a year**
-1st half taxes are due by June 30 without penalty
-2nd half taxes are due by December 31 without penalty
