JULY SENIOR NEWSLETTER 2023

Hello Everyone,

June was a very busy month with exercise, informal lunches at MacEachron Park, walks, three trips, and an Ice Cream Social.  We also said “thank you to our FISH (Friends in Service Helping) volunteers by hosting a luncheon.  These volunteers give many hours of their time during the year to take people to medical appointments.  They are invaluable to many of our seniors and the volunteers say that it is very rewarding experience for them.

The weather has been nice; however, as I write this newsletter, it feels more like a fall day than a beginning of summer day; however, the Chemka Pool will have Senior Swim weekdays from 11:30am to 12:30pm and will be offering exercise classes during July and August. It is $99.00 for a senior to join the pool, or if you just want to take the classes, it is $5.00 for each class.  Gina will teach Aqua Tone on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.  These begin July 3rd and end on August 2nd.  There will also be an Ai Chi class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.  These begin July 6th and end July 27th.

We have more exciting things planned this month.  They include:

The dates are listed on the calendar and the details are on the fliers (Click on the links above to view the flyers). You must sign up ahead of time for these programs.

The walks will continue, and they are listed on the calendar, as well as the informal lunches at MacEachron Park.  Just bring lunch and a chair and socialize with your friends and make new friends.  The walks are on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the lunches are on Mondays.
