Village Manager Mary Beth Murphy's update on the Farragut Ave Paving and Safety Improvement Project - August 10, 2022

Milling and paving of Farragut Ave. began Monday, July 25, 2022, the weather cooperated, and paving proceeded on schedule and is now complete

 

Paving started at the south end of the project and was done in 2 sections. The first section was from the intersection of Farragut Parkway to the intersection of Ravensdale Road.  The second section, from Ravensdale Road to Broadway.

 

The next phase of the project includes painting and striping lines on the roadway including crosswalks and bike lanes. The work will be done in the overnight hours when there is less traffic.  It is not noisy but there may be more ambient light during this work.  After the striping, the contractor will install signage.  We await specifics from the County, but it is expected that nighttime painting and striping will begin sometime next week.
