Dear Residents,
The Village tree ordinance found HERE has been REVISED to apply to and potentially require permits for removal of trees that are 8” or greater in diameter at a point 4 ½ feet above ground on any single property.
Previously, the law had applied to trees 12” in diameter or more and only on properties that are more than 1 acre in size.
Other provisions remain the same.
Please be sure to review the law prior to the removal of a tree on your property and contact the Building Department for a permit where necessary or with any questions.
