Dear Residents,
ARCO is planning to pilot a new in-situ remediation technology that extracts PCBs from sediments called ecoSpears. A link is provided for additional information on this technology. In preparation for this, ARCO will have a few people in Kinnally Cove on December 13, 2023, likely in the early afternoon near low tide. Three to four people will access the cove in waders to evaluate the proposed location for any subsurface obstructions and to get an idea of site conditions. Workers will enter the Cove on foot in waders and will manually probe with a small diameter metal probe to assess the density of sediments.
