Update on Hillside Water Tank Rehabilitation Project
February 8, 2024

Dear Residents,

Work on the water tower is proceeding. Modifications have been made to the distribution system of the water tower, adding additional automated pumping capabilities.

Sand blasting on the interior of the tank and paint priming is underway. The blasting process has exposed areas of concern with the roof structure and Veolia is consulting with the tank manufacturer, a structural engineer, and a specialty tank repair contractor to address these concerns. Given the additional structural work, Veolia will provide the Village with a revised project completion date within the next few weeks.

Important Reminder: For safety reasons, access to the school via the Chemka lot and pathway is unavailable. Signs are posted throughout the area to notify residents and students about the closure.  All persons should avoid the area where the work is being conducted throughout the rehabilitation period.

Thank you for your cooperation. I will keep you posted as the work progresses.

Thank you.

Very truly yours,
