Route 9 – Broadway NYS Paving Project Update

March 19, 2024

Dear Residents

The NYS DOT road improvement project on Route 9 will recommence in early April.  You will begin to see message signs about it shortly. Work will begin with basin cleaning in split section and some drainage investigation to make sure all catch basins are functioning. Catch basin and manhole realignments, restorations and repairs & ADA ramp work will begin at Edgar’s Lane and proceed north.

The Contractor has been asked to keep the staging area at Foodtown neat and tidy and as you can see below, has begun to do that.
NYDOT PARKING AT FOODTOWN

All work is weather dependent and will shift accordingly.

This work, although disruptive, will result in repaired catch basins, curbs that properly channel stormwater, ADA compliant ramps at sidewalk crossings, and a smooth, pothole free and properly graded roadway

We will keep you apprised as the work progresses.

Happy Spring !!

Very truly yours,
