Chemka Pool Restoration Update - May 15, 2023

Dear Residents:

Work at the Chemka Pool is wrapping up as we approach opening day on Saturday, May 27. The pools are filled and chemically balanced, the bathhouse is painted, and the restoration work in the pump room is complete. Our Parks & Recreation Department staff is busy finishing the setup for the summer.

The green roof and some final landscaping around the entrance remain outstanding but are expected to be in place for opening day.

The facility passed both the engineering and pre-operation inspections from the Westchester County Department of Health, as well as the inspection for the improved chemical bulk storage area and transfer pad.

With opening day a few short weeks away, we encourage everyone to purchase a pool pass for the summer either directly online HERE (you’ll need to create an account or link to your existing account) or by stopping by the Parks and Recreation Department at 44 Main Street. Memberships can also be purchased on opening day or any time during the season at the pool.

A huge thank you goes out to the contractor, Jennosa Pools, Inc., the engineer, Rimkunas Engineering, and our Parks & Recreation Department for their diligent work in readying our pool for the 2023 season.

There will be a grand re-opening on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10am, to kick-off the season. Be on the lookout for an email from our Parks & Recreation Department as we get closer to opening day.
