UPDATE ON PUBLIC MEETINGS POLICY - JUNE 30,2021

Dear Residents,

 

As you may be aware, the Governor has lifted the State of Emergency in New York State. Accordingly, the Village will return to meetings held pursuant to the Open Meetings Law.

 

The Board of Trustees, the Architectural Review Board, the Planning Board, and the Zoning Board of Appeals will return to in-person meetings. The meetings will still be livestreamed, and public comment is welcomed via email prior to the meeting, as has been past practice.  Comments emailed during the meeting will not be monitored and will be read after the meeting.  In addition, members of the public who wish to attend in-person meetings must either show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or wear a mask. Anyone not wearing a mask will be required to show proof of vaccine to an attendant.  No one will be allowed entry without either proof of vaccine or a mask.

 

Our other boards and commissions, which are not subject to the Open Meetings Law, will be making decisions about their meeting preference, since they are still able to meet via video conference. When the next agenda for each of these boards or commissions is sent out to the public, it will be made clear how the meeting is to be conducted and if in-person, where it will be held.

For the months of July and August, the Board of Trustees will be meeting at the James Harmon Community Center on July 6 and August 3.

 

As we move forward, we will advise you of any changes.
