The River Spirit Music Waterfront Concert Series is back this summer with FREE concerts at MacEachron Waterfront Park in Hastings-on-Hudson. The concerts will be on Tuesday evenings starting at 7pm and feature regional and national performers. Our first show will be on June 25th with folk/Americana band Birds of Chicago (see schedule below). Bring your blankets, festival chairs and, of course, the kids!

Our end of summer community festival returns with the River Spirit Music & Arts Festival -- a celebration of music, art, food, and community -- at Draper Park, on Saturday, September 7 (rain date - September 8). The Festival brings a mix of local, regional and national acts from across the musical spectrum, an interactive kids’ zone; hands-on and for-purchase crafts (and other merchandise); a tantalizing array of delicious food, wine, craft beers, and more from local and regional vendors; social action and community sponsor booths, cultural exhibits and a marketplace.

Birds of Chicago—husband-and-wife team JT Nero and Allison Russell—has been making soulful, heartfelt music since 2012. In Nero’s words, the duo’s self-described “secular gospel” songs open up “channels of love.” Birds of Chicago’s voices—Nero’s gritty and Russell’s smooth—blend beautifully and recall country blues, doo-wop, and classic soul. The pair’s newest album, Love in Wartime, is balm for the nation’s troubled times, offering messages of trust and understanding that are also danceable.

The Festival and Waterfront Concert Series are produced by River Spirit Music in cooperation and with the support of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson.
