Relay for Life this Saturday June 8

In case you have not heard about it, the Hastings Youth Council, along with the Hastings High School Club Hastings KIDS (Kids Involved Doing Service) and the Hastings Yellow Jackets Booster Club are co-sponsoring a Relay for Life event to raise money for cancer research, honor loved ones, and celebrate cancer survivors –- taking place in Hastings this Saturday June 8th from 3-8pm --- at the HHS Reynolds Field Track. Anyone and everyone in the community is invited to participate in this event. There will be activities and booths for children as well as food and fun for all. To symbolize the continuous efforts toward a cure for cancer, individuals and groups will be walking the track continuously throughout the entire event. Everyone is welcome to participate. Here is how you can participate:

·      Come at 3pm for the opening ceremony kickoff 3-3:30pm and walk the first lap with survivors and loved ones

·      Play some games at our booths, eat some food, all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society

·      Decorate a bag in honor of someone to be placed along the track at our closing ceremony 7:30-8pm, come out for this closing ceremony

·      Buy a t-shirt ($10.00) on sale Saturday

·      Register to walk an hour as an individual or with a group! Email us at HastingsYouthCouncil@gmail.com to register or just come

As the major focus of the event, we are raising money for the American Cancer Society. Our goal is for each participant who walks to fundraise or donate $20.00. To donate online click the link below. You can donate under General Donations.
