DUE TO NUMEROUS FALLEN TREES AND DEBRIS PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS. MANY ROADS ARE CLOSED OR DEBRIS FILLED AND MAY HAVE ACTIVE POWER LINES ON THEM.  
WE ARE AWARE OF MULTIPLE POWER OUTAGES THROUGH OUT THE AREA.
PLEASE CALL 1-800-752-6633 TO REPORT POWER OUTAGES. DO NOT CALL THE POLICE or 911 UNLESS IT IS AN EMERGENCY!  

 

REMINDER TO ALL RESIDENTS:   

-        If you have a driveway, PLEASE PARK YOUR VEHICLE IN YOUR DRIVEWAY, NOT IN THE ROAD.

-        If you should lose power, notify Con Edison at 1-800-75-ConEd. or report it online HERE.    DO NOT CALL POLICE . 

-        CON ED POWER OUTAGE MAP

-        Only use 911 for Emergencies ( Crime, Fire, Health or Arching Wires, etc)  

Some Safety Tips:

-       Make sure you keep all rechargeable items fully charged, such as cell phones.

-       Keep extra batteries in the house for flashlights, radios, etc.

-       If you have a power outage we do not recommend using candles. However, if you do, make sure to keep the flames away from any combustible materials.

-       Check on your neighbors, especially those that may be elderly, disabled or housebound.

-       DO NOT go out in the storm if you do not have to.

-       Report all emergencies to 911.

Hudson Line Service is currently experiencing delays of up to 20 minutes due to track conditions requiring attention and fallen trees between Riverdale and Ossining. Please listen for announcements at your station. 
 

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST SATURDAY...
* WINDS...North 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.
* TIMING...Strongest winds this afternoon and tonight.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
 
FORECAST
Snow. Steady temperature around 35. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Windy, with a north wind around 34 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tonight
Snow, mainly before 11pm. Temperature rising to around 36 by 2am. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Windy, with a north wind 26 to 33 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Saturday
A 20 percent chance of snow before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 44. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. Breezy, with a north wind 18 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
