Mayor’s Message:– Yom Kippur

Mayor
Tonight at sundown, our Jewish neighbors observe the beginning of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, a solemn and sacred time of prayer, fasting, reflection, repentance and renewal. It is a chance to take stock, be honest about our shortcomings, ask for forgiveness and commit to doing better.

Each of us can take inspiration from acknowledging the power of self-reflection and reconciliation in healing our families, communities and world.

To all our Jewish brothers and sisters at this holiest of times, we wish you an easy and meaningful fast. G'mar chatima tova.

Sincerely,

Nicola Armacost
