Marine Corps Reserve Westchester County TOYS FOR TOTS

My name is Steve Topilnycky, and I’m the Coordinator for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign for Westchester County and a lifelong resident of Hastings-on-Hudson.

Each year Toys for Tots – Westchester County comes to the aide of children in need in our community, it is our mission to send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children. This year, our demand for toys has exceeded our record-breaking demand from last year, we are looking to service over 24,000+ children this year in our community.

The truth is, we have a critical shortage of toys going into the Christmas season. And with an increased number of Americans doing their holiday shopping online again this year, it means our toy collection boxes are sitting half empty right now instead of overflowing with toys like they normally would be.

At the same time, many American families are struggling to make ends meet, and many parents will be unable to provide even a single gift for their children this Christmas. That’s why I’m reaching out to you now with a personal request: Please find it in your heart to make a gift to our Wish lists, donate a toy at one of our collection boxes, or make a monetary donation to the campaign.

As always, we need the support of the community to help us bring a smile to a child’s face

In Hastings there are currently two collection points; 18-20 Maple Avenue (across from Village Hall), it’s an outdoor all weather collection bin and the at the James V. Harmon Community Center. In these challenging times, we came up with some virtual options that will still help the campaign:

Credit Card/Check Donations: Don’t forget that the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity is the fund raising, funding and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Donations are recognized as deductible for tax purposes. Donations are accepted year round and used to purchase toys where we have shortfalls.
