Hastings-on-Hudson School District COVID-19 Update Thursday, April 16, 2020

This email is being sent to the mailing list for informational purposes as it represents an issue of potentially broad interest to the community.

Dear Hastings Families,

You have made an incredible adjustment in transitioning to virtual learning while also juggling myriad responsibilities as parents and caretakers. With deep gratitude, we thank you for all that you are doing.

Today, Governor Cuomo announced that schools will be closed until May 15. While this is disappointing news to us, we do hope that we have a chance to see our students in school before the school year ends. We miss them.

Please don't hesitate to contact us, your child's teachers or school administrators if you need assistance.  If you are finding it challenging to manage with limited computers to use at home, we have Chromebooks to loan to children. If you need an additional Chromebook, please contact Maureen Caraballo, our Business Offical, who will arrange to provide one for you.

Again, thank you for the sacrifices that you are making to keep all of us safe.

Respectfully,

Valerie Henning-Piedmonte, Superintendent of Schools
Melissa Szymanski, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
Maureen Caraballo, Business Official
