Hastings Historical Society and Hastings Library Announce: "Yesteryear: Stories from Home" Installment 2

The second installment of the podcast Yesteryear: Stories from Home, is now available to listeners. The series was created by Hastings residents Edoardo Ballerini (a prolific audiobook narrator), Melanie Hoopes (a local playwright and director), and Tim Donahue (a member of the Library Board of Trustees).

This episode of Yesteryear is called The Ziegfelds’ Girl. It features the jaunty wit of Patty Ziegfeld, who recalls her 1920s childhood at the Burkeley Crest estate in our village, now the site of the Burke athletic fields It comes courtesy of the Hastings Historical Society archives and is voiced by Hastings resident Edie Magnus. Click here to listen.
 
On March 10th at 7:30 pm there will be a Zoom event, hosted jointly by the Hastings Public Library and the Hastings Historical Society, which will present the podcast along with images of Burkeley Crest.
