COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER EXPANDS CALL FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS TO ALL CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS

As we continue work to combat the Coronavirus pandemic, Westchester County Executive George Latimer is extending his call for all available New York State Licensed nurses to step forward to certified physician assistants (PAs).

Latimer said: “We are ramping up for the expected influx of COVID-19 positive patients and known shortage of medical professionals. This is the time for Westchester residents to step up and use their skills to serve their entire community.”

PAs will be utilized to assist at locations such as nursing homes, child care programs, congregate care facilities, senior buildings and other sites that serve vulnerable populations. Westchester County Department of Social Services will coordinate the placements in partnership with the Department of Health. Those interested in serving the community in this capacity should contact Lindsay Jackson at lajc@westchestergov.com
