Con Edison work in Riverview Manor Area Starting in April
 
Hello all,
 
Happy Spring!
 
We have been informed by Con Ed that they will be replacing gas mains on several streets in Riverview Manor. The existing gas pipe is estimated to be approximately 100 years old.  New pipes will provide safer and more reliable gas delivery with fewer leaks and other things that may cause an interruption in service. 
 
The work is expected to run from April 1 through June 1 and will be completed during the day. The work will have the impact of limited street parking, temporary lane closure, and noise. There may also be a necessity to sometimes work on customer property by excavating your sidewalk, driveway, or lawn area. If your property is affected, Con Ed will restore it.
 
There will be approximately 3 weeks of digging per job (street(s) identified below) with service work to follow done by appointment with customer. Con Ed may need to store supplies and equipment along the road in some areas.

New gas lines are expected to be installed in the following locations in the following order:

  • W23-100874370 (Sheldon Pl)
  • W23-100666196 (Flower Ave)
  • W23-100871013 (Edgars Ln)  
  • W23-100909817 (Edgars Ln & Zinsser Way)
  • W23-100871023 (Euclid Ave)
  • W23-100896749 (Euclid Ave & Pleasant Ave)
  • W23-100871022 (Palisade Ave) Dobbs Ferry

The number appearing before each street is the Con Ed “job identification number” assigned to that street, the significance of which appears below.

Con Ed advises that to complete the work, they may need to temporarily interrupt service. If Con Ed does need to interrupt service, they will notify you in advance.

If you have questions about the upcoming work, or concerns about private facilities buried in your lawn, such as sprinkler lines or electric dog fences, please email CustomerQuestions@conEd.com and reference the job identification number assigned to your street above. The Con Edison construction supervisor is Luis Peduto.

Please note: There is usually a delay between the end of the project and the final landscaping or paving restoration, which is completed by different contractors.
