• Bioblitz Nature Walk in Hillside Woods with Devon Cummings - bring your smartphone! Meet at the Edgewood and Taft entrance to Hillside Woods at 3p.

April 1, Monday - and ALL MONTH LONG!

• Hastings' 5th Annual Bioblitz Begins! All month long, take pictures of what you see in nature in iNaturalist and it will automatically register as part of this community science project. A bioblitz gives a phenological snapshot - i.e. what's happening in nature at a specific time and place - that scientists can use in their research. When conducted every year, it can give a sense of how an ecosystem and climate changes over time. It's fun and easy! All you need to do is start taking pictures in the app. New to iNat citizen science, or need a refresher? Watch the Recording of Patrick McKenzie's 2021 zoom on the topic.
