Hastings Deer Drive Saturday, March 16th 10AM Hillside Elementary School Parking Lot. - We need all hands on deck!

Save the Date!
What? Volunteers needed to help guide deer out of the restoration area in Hillside Woods prior to completing the exclosure.
When? March 16th (rain date March 17th), 10am.
Why?
To restore healthy habitat.
How? 100+ volunteers will form a loose line and walk quietly from one end of the fenced area to the other, gently guiding the deer to the exit.

Note: a deer drive is a slow and patient walk. All you need is a body that can walk through the woods. We will be walking in one long line, all in sight of one another. There are some steep areas, but we can situate you in a less steep part of the line if you like. You can alternatively volunteer to photograph or be a spotter. Just email hillsidewoods@hastingsgov.org
