MARCH NEWSLETTER 2023

Hello Everyone,

We will welcome spring this month!  I’m looking forward to that, even though we have been lucky so far!

I have two trips and a party planned this month.  They include the Edward Hopper House Museum., and The Cabin Restaurant.  Our annual St. Patrick’s Party will be on March 13th and we will have live music!  See the calendar for the dates and fliers for the details for the trips and the party.  We will also try out a “Board Game Day” on three Tuesdays in March.  We’ll have some games here and if you have a game that you like playing, please bring it with you.

There will not be a yoga class on March 16th, as a Blood Drive is being held.

The walks are listed on the calendar.  I’m hoping to join you toward the end of March, but we will see.

There is a free webinar on Wednesday, March 8th from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on “How to Use Pooled income Trust to Qualify for Community Medicaid.”  Register for this free webinar-Registration URL: https://bit.ly/Pooled Trust 2.  Dial in by phone also available; numbers obtained on Registration by calling and leaving a message for Paul at (914) 231-3227.  Even if your income is above Medicaid limits, you qualify for Community or Home Care Medicaid.

For your information, Medicare counseling is back at the Grinton Will Library on Central Ave. in Yonkers, N.Y.  This is held the 1st Thursday of the month from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Computer Room.  You can talk to a trained volunteer-no appointment necessary!

“Care 2U-Urgent Care at Home”-9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. daily.  Technicians come to your home to perform assessment, plus advise from emergency medicine physicians.  Go to Care2u.com or 833-433-CARE.

“Silver Bells Free Bill management Program”-Are you a caregiver to a senior that would like one less task?  Or are you getting confused paying your bills?  The Yonkers Office for the Aging and Sliver Bells now offer a free Bill management Program.  You are provided with your own dedicated account manager who will work with you over the phone to help you organize your bills and make sure the are paid correctly.  All fees for this service will be waived for one year.  Call (914) 377-6823 if interested.

Again, if you do not feel well, and even think it is just a cold, please do not come to class or any senior activities.  Covid is still around, so please be careful.  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Anne
