Certified Actions Completed:
- Benchmarking: Adopted a policy to monitor and report the energy use of municipal buildings on an annual basis:
- LED Street Lights: Converted 100% of the municipal cobra-head-style streetlights to energy-efficient LED technology saving the village $45,000 per year and reducing electricity consumption by the equivalent of twenty typical households.
- Solarize: ran a highly successful solarize campaign quadrupling the number of solar installations on residences.
- Unified Solar Permit: Passed legislation to adopt the New York State Unified Solar Permit to reduce costs and delays for solar projects in the village
- Community Choice Aggregation: Transitioned to 100% renewable electricity supply village-wide by aggregating electricity purchase through Westchester Power, and saving residents money on their electricity bills
