Dear residents,

The decision by the United States Supreme Court in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, overturning Roe v. Wade, tests our fundamental values as Americans.

Today’s ruling dealt a devastating blow to reproductive freedom, taking away a right we have taken for granted as citizens for almost 50 years. The ruling will result in a patchwork of unequal laws among the states and the impact will be felt most painfully by our most vulnerable citizens.

Like most Americans, we do not believe that courts or politicians should be making reproductive choices for our citizens.  We believe that the right to control one’s own body is a fundamental right, and the ability to decide one’s own future is a fundamental American value.

As we gear up for election season your vote matters more than ever! Please do not sit these elections out – our democracy needs you! If you are looking for other ways to get involved please reach out to us for suggestions.

Sincerely,

Mayor Armacost
Trustee Lambert
Trustee Lopez
Trustee Drake
Trustee Fleisig
