Rivertowns Repair Cafe - Saturday, June 19th from 10AM-2PM; Hastings Public Library Parking Lot
We are excited to announce the next – IN-PERSON – Repair Café on June 19th at the parking lot of the Hastings Public Library.
This is a partnership between Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry creating the 2nd Rivertowns Repair Café. What is a Repair Café? A volunteer-led "pop-up" free repair event! You bring your broken item in, we help you fix and learn how to fix them while building community. The Today Show did a lovely segment on a New York Repair Cafe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5xRDhqGJCA
Hastings Repair Cafe is hosting with Sustainable Dobbs an in-person, outdoor Repair Cafe event on June 19th from 10am-2pm. The event is co-sponsored by the Hastings Conservation Commission with the support of the Villages of Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry. This will be similar to previous Hastings Repair Cafes at the Community Center, just outdoors and with our Dobbs Ferry neighbors!
Once again we are asking for volunteers! All fixers, menders and restorers skill sets are needed, be it bike repair, jewelry, textile, mechanical or electrical! Just as important are the wonderful volunteers who assist with greeting, organizing, setting up or breaking down.
