The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson
invites the residents of the Village to comment on the

Draft Police Reform Plan

The comment period will be extended to March 22, 2021 because it recently came to our attention that there was a typo in the email address in previous notices. It has been corrected below.

All written comments can be made HERE, by emailing policereform@hastingsgov.org, or by paper comment at one of the Drop Boxes outside Village Hall, the James Harmon Community Center (Recreation Department Drop Box), or the Library.

The Village requests residents’ input on the Draft Police Reform Plan as presented to the Board of Trustees. The Final Plan will become an integral part of how the Hastings Police Department continues to provide public safety and strong community relationships within the Village.

The Draft Police Reform Plan describes the Police Department’s composition and duties, describes the process, data, and input of the Plan creation and includes recommendations for the Board of Trustees’ consideration. These recommendations and the comments from the public will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees and taken into considerations in connection with budgeting and policy decisions in the Village.

All comments will be shared with the Task Force and Board of Trustees, and addressed in the Final Plan, which will be presented to the Village Board of Trustees for adoption or ratification.
