Mayor's Message: Village Climate Vulnerability Survey final deadline Friday May 1

Mayor

REMINDER: The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson Climate Vulnerability Survey has been extended - don't miss out on sharing your opinion!

Hi everyone,

As per prior messages, the Village is conducting a survey and we want to know your opinions.  The survey is designed to help the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson understand public perceptions of climate change and extreme climate events. In particular, the questions focus on identifying our community's susceptibility to climate hazards—and how adaptable or ready our community is to face them.

Your answers to this Survey, as well as the output from two follow-up community meetings that will happen in May via zoom (we are still working out the details), will help the Village develop climate adaptation strategies and a climate resilience vision to better prepare our community for some of the challenges nature has in store for us.

Please click here to access the Survey. It should take 10-15 minutes to complete. We are interested in your perceptions (there are no right or wrong answers). We are also interested in the opinion of residents of all ages so please encourage kids to respond—the young as well as future generations have the most stake in us getting things right today.

The the final deadline is now 9 AM on May 1st, 2020 (no more extensions...) - so please respond now if you haven't already.

Thank you for participating!

Sincerely,

Nicola Armacost
