Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department: Stolen Mail & Safety Tips

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department has receiving many complaints from Hastings residents about lost and forged checks taken from local mailboxes. The Police Department is working with the U.S. Postal Inspector Service to identify the perpetrators of these crimes and bring them to justice.

We recommend that whenever possible mail items that are financial in nature at the post office and at the postal counter.  It is important to monitor your bank accounts for any unknown activities. If you become suspicious of any unknown transactions or amounts please contact your bank immediately and then contact the Hastings Police Department (914) 478-2344.
