Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department Press Release: Suspect has been arrested in the Warburton Ave robberies that happened October 11, 2017

PRESS RELEASE
 
On October 11, 2017 at approximately 6:56 AM The Hastings on Hudson Police Department received a call from the owner of the Hastings Center Restaurant, located at 540 Warburton Avenue reporting his business had been entered during the overnight hours. Patrols were detailed and confirmed a burglary had occurred. Entry was made into the establishment through a rear door by smashing a window. The cash register in the establishment was damaged and it is unknown how much money is missing.
 
A canvas of the area by officers on scene located an attempted burglary at Hastings Stationary Store, located at 536 Warburton Avenue. An attempt to enter the establishment was made by smashing the rear door window. The glass on the window was shattered but did not break.
 
Officers also discovered another attempted burglary was made at Sterling National Bank, located at 560 Warburton Avenue. An attempt to enter the establishment was made by smashing one of the windows pane. The suspect was unable to break a secondary window pane and no entry was made into the building.
 
Another commercial burglary was discovered at Peter Gisolfi Associates, located at 566 Warburton Avenue. Entry was made into this establishment through a rear window which had its glass broken. The establishment was ransacked and missing now is various computer equipment. 
 
It was also discovered that Protection Fire House, located at 573 Warburton Avenue was entered. Entry was made into the fire house through a second story rear window which had its glass broken. Missing now is one flat screen television.
 
It is believed all the above incidents occurred on October 11, 2017 between 12 :00 AM and 5:00 AM.
 
****After an intense investigation by The Hastings on Hudson Detective Division in conjunction with the Yonkers Police Department and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, Tavin Dennis M/B DOB 08/04/1990 of 502 Van Cortlandt Park Avenue Yonkers, N.Y. was arrested on January 10, 2018. He was charged with 3 counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, and 2 counts of Attempted Burglary in the 3rd Degree. He was processed and he is being held for Court on January 10, 2018.
 
In order to protect the integrity of the investigation there will be no additional information released at this time.
