Get Pumped for Heat Pumps!

            1

HeatSmart offers an opportunity to significantly reduce energy consumption, cut
greenhouse gas emissions, and help homeowners not only reduce their energy
bills but also increase their year-round comfort and the value of their homes.

What is a Heat Pump?

There are two primary types of heat pumps available– air source and ground source heat pumps.
Heat pumps are smart and healthy options that bring many benefits to buildings of all types and sizes:

  • Warmer. Heat pumps spread the warmth more efficiently than conventional oil, propane, or electric resistance heating systems.
  • Cooler. Heat pumps cool more efficiently during the summertime.
  • Comfier and cozier. Heat pumps provide quiet, even heating & cooling.
  • Easier. Heat pumps require minimal maintenance.
  • Cleaner, healthier, and safer. There is no combustion of fossil fuels, fuel storage, or carbon monoxide emissions associated with heat pumps.
