Conservation Commission Upcoming Events!

Kickoff Hastings-on-Hudson's Water Week by helping us restore Boutillier's Brook
The Conservation Commission and Climate Smart Communities Task Force are launching a week (or more!) highlighting water in Hastings, from our local riverine resources to issues of water conservation and runoff. Stay-tuned! On Friday, we will announce a set of talks by local water experts to take place over the next couple of weeks.

This weekend: Join the Conservation Commission and NYS Department of Conservation in a tree and shrub-planting party!

Saturday, 10am-1pm
Farragut Parkway at Exit 12

We are restoring the streamside buffer of this tributary to the Saw Mill through NYS DEC's Trees for Tribs grant program, which supports Hudson Valley communities in tributary stewardship projects by providing expertise and materials. Small streams provide critical ecosystem services to the larger rivers they empty into. For details on Boutillier's Brook, work to date and our long-term vision for this stream, click here.
