"The Swarm" is Hastings-on-Hudson's summer swim team. Each summer, The Swarm competes as a perennial contender for the championship honors in the Westchester Swimming Conference. Facing off against local teams, The Swarm will compete as part of Division 6.
Team Information:
Being part of the Swarm is fun and flexible, allowing swimmers to make both friends and waves!
- The Swarm is open to swimmers ages 5 -- 17. Swimmers must be members of the Chemka Pool to participate. The Swarm runs from mid-June to early-August.
- Practices are on weekday mornings from 7:45 A.M. -- 8:45 A.M at The dobbs Ferry Town Pool. Swimmers are encouraged to come to as many practices to promote fitness, endurance, and skill development.
- There are 3 -- 5 exciting Meets against other county swim teams, typically evenings in July.
- Every swimmer races in a meet -- with personalized ribbons to commerate the experience and their place in each race!
- If a swimmer is able to swim a full lap (one length of the Chemka Pool), then they're welcome to join The Swarm!
- Potluck Dinner, Pep Rally/Pizza Party, and Trophy/Awards Night are some of the exciting team events planned. Dates and times TBA.
