Morning Ai Chi at the Chemka Pool

Take advantage of a quiet morning at the Chemka Pool by participating in our first Ai Chi Class!

Ai Chi is a water-based total body strengthening and relaxation progression that moves from simple breathing to the incorporation of upper extremity, trunk, lower extremity, and finally total body involvement. It combines Tai-Chi concepts with Shiatsu and Watsu techniques and is performed standing in shoulder depth water using a combination of deep breathing and slow, broad movements of the arms, legs, and torso. The concept of Ai Chi is to relax within the movement.  Designed for all who would like to incorporate a mind-body exercise program into their life utilizing the healing power of the buoyancy of water.

Each session is 45 minutes long, beginning at 8am on Tuesday, 8/23; Thursday, 8/24; Tuesday 8/30; and Thursday 9/1. Both members and non-members are welcome to join, $10 at the door, daily.
