VOLUNTEER FOR THE ARTS IN HASTINGS!!
The Village Arts Commission, established by the Village Board of Trustees to enrich the lives of Hastings-on-Hudson residents through the arts, has several opportunities open for volunteers.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION
Each member (min. 18 yrs old) is appointed by the Trustees for a term of five years to work with a group of seven:
We work with the schools and other community groups, private corporations and individuals, government agencies and representatives.
- We promote the use of the village’s public spaces for displaying creative arts, including the Municipal Building, Community Center and outdoor public spaces.
- We develop and oversee standards for promoting, accepting and displaying art for temporary exhibition and permanent installation including visual, performing, literary and all art forms by residents as well as creative arts brought to Hastings-on-Hudson for the benefit of the community.
- We develop new arts programs and events for under-served residents of our diverse community.
- We participate in the marketing plans and economic development plans of the village by promoting the arts through diverse media vehicles.
- We would like to establish a permanent home (facility) for the arts in Hastings-on-Hudson.

VOLUNTEER FOR A PROJECT
All ages! Individuals or groups! We work in small groups to promote and develop projects, programs and exhibits in all disciplines of the creative arts – music, acting, crafts, writing, film, theater, painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, architecture, design, landscape, cooking, interiors, animation, puppetry, multi-media, anything creative…. in the following areas:
- Municipal Building
- Community Center
- Outdoor Public Spaces
- Other miscellaneous venues
- A Communications Program that connects the arts community with the public
