Fellow residents -
Storm’s over. No power lost. No trees or branches down. No damage. Other than that which will be shortly inflicted on backs when you dig out from the 12-14 inches sitting outside. Almost all streets have been plowed to the point cars can get around.
Speaking of which, don't forget sidewalks along your property and hydrants. Please don't blow or shovel the snow into the street. And take the cake off from the roof of the car. It can blow off into the windshield of someone behind you and cause problems.
If you would like to offer your own shoveling services on a volunteer basis to a disabled neighbor or elderly shut-in, please send an email in the next five hours to firstname.lastname@example.org. Name, address, phone number where you can be reached, please.
We’ll see what emails comes in and try to pair up those offering with those needing around 1PM this afternoon. If you offer and don’t hear from us, we couldn’t use you. If you need a shoveling, we’ll be in touch with either positive or negative news that someone is on their way a few minutes after 1PM.
