A few short notices:
A new store graces our downtown village, at 45 Main Street, with a yoga studio opening between Bauer Optics and the bicycle store. They're having a "soft" opening this weekend, with a free class on Saturday at 10AM for people of all abilities. This studio will feature a range of classes (with commuter-friendly hours as well). Drop by, say hello, and if you're feeling spry or curious, join the free class. Bring your own mat (if you have one), and if you don't, they will loan you one.
As mentioned in the previous email, several residents have organized a community breakfast in celebration of Martin Luther King Day on January 21st from 10AM to 1PM at the Community Center. If you register in advance (an email to firstname.lastname@example.org will do the trick), it's only $12, or $15 at the door. Following the breakfast from 10AM to 11:15AM, the organizers will honor local artist Madge Scott and then Arthur Matthews, an attorney with civil rights roots, will speak. The event ends with the participants watching President Barak Obama's inauguration address. It's a a day
off for many, so consider coming and a RSVP at the above email will be helpful to the organizers.
See you around town,
