In honor of the 140th anniversary of Protection Engine Company, the Hastings-On-Hudson Fire Department will be hosting the 2016 Westchester County Volunteer Fireman’s Association Convention. Events will include a block party and a parade.
 

UPDATED PARKING AVAILABILITY

On Saturday, September 24, 2016 residents will be allowed to park on the Westside of Maple Avenue from North St. to Spring St. However, it is important to remember on September 24, 2016 from 12:30 PM until the conclusion of the parade Maple Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic.
 
Parking will also be available at the following locations
 
  • Rear and North Side of Zinsser Commuter Parking Lot
  • Boulanger Plaza Parking Lot
  • Steinschneider Parking Lot
  • Post Office Parking Lot
  • Zinsser Park
  • Edgars Lane
  • Broadway West Side from Flower Ave to Warburton Ave
  • St. Matthew School Parking Lot
 
Saturday, September 24, 2016 the Hastings Farmers Market will be held at the American Legion 215 Farragut Ave 8:30AM to 1:30PM 

The block party will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 7PM to 10PM on Warburton Avenue from Spring Street to Villard Avenue.

 
As a result, the following parking restrictions will be in place:
 
On Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6PM to 11PM No Parking will be allowed on the following streets:
  • Warburton Avenue from Spring Street to Villard Avenue.
  • Chase Bank Parking Lot.
In addition, on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6PM to 11PM Warburton Avenue from Spring Street to Villard Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic.

The parade will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016 and will commence at 1:30 PM on Warburton Avenue by the City of Yonkers border line. The parade route is as follows: Warburton Avenue northbound to North St. westbound to Maple Avenue / Southside Avenue southbound to MacEachron Park.
 
As a result, the following parking restrictions will be in place:
 
On Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM No Parking will be allowed on the following streets:
  • Warburton Avenue (both sides) from the City of Yonkers Border Line to Broadway.
  •  Spring Street.
  •  North Street.
  •  Maple Avenue (EAST side).
  • Southside Avenue (both sides) from Spring Street to the Zinsser Commuter Parking Lot.
  • Con Ed Parking Lot 6 spaces against wall
On Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 11:30 AM to 6 PM No Parking will be allowed on the following streets:
  • Corner of Southside Avenue and lower Washington Avenue (Southside) 4 spaces.
  • River Street
 
On Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 8 AM to 6 PM No Parking will be allowed in the Zinsser Commuter Parking Lot from Factory / Cropsey Lane south all spots (Front Section Only) no parking.
 
In addition, on Saturday September 24, 2016 from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM the following road closures will in effect:
  • Warburton Avenue (both sides) from the City of Yonkers Border Line to Broadway.
  •  Spring Street.
  •  North Street.
  •  Maple Avenue (both sides).
  •  Southside Avenue (both sides) from Spring Street to the Zinsser Commuter Parking Lot.
  •  River Street.
Access to the train station, Harvest Restaurant, 40 North Restaurant and the Hastings Tennis Courts will be limited between the hours of 1:30 PM and conclusion of the parade.
Please use Washington Avenue and Officers will permit access during breaks in the parade.
