IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE
S. CALUMET AVE., VILLARD AVE., & FERNDALE DR.
AND IMMEDIATE VICINITY
WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
 
A SUEZ water main improvement project will result in a temporary service interruption for about 125 customers in the vicinity of Villard Ave. in Hastings-on-Hudson. Customers on the streets identified below may have no water or low water pressure for a few hours while the repairs are being made.
 
SUEZ will notify customers who will be impacted to fill containers with water to be used for cooking and drinking while they are working.
 
These residents may also temporarily have discolored water. This is the result of harmless sediment which is stirred up in the main.
 
While the water is safe, customers may prefer to wait until the water runs clear before drinking or washing clothes or dishes.
 
The service interruption will impact customers on the following dates and streets:
 
•May 15 — S. Calumet, Villard, Croton, Bakers and Darwin
 
•May 16 — Terrace and South Drive
 
•May 17 — Circle, Ferndale and Chestnut
 
•May 18 — Circle, Ferndale and Chestnut

Listed below are a few things to expect
• Your water will meet all safe drinking water standards.
• Water service and fire protection will be maintained.
• If water service disruption is anticipated, separate notice will be given.
• Road closures of the above mentioned roads are possible.
• Parking on above mentioned roads may be impacted, separate notice will be given.
• Please use caution while walking or driving near the construction zone.
• Priority will be given to emergency vehicles and bus traffic.
 
 
Please Note: This is a SUEZ water project not a Village of Hastings-on-Hudson. Hastings Police will be on scene to direct traffic and open and close roads.
