MONDAY, MAY 29 IS A METER HOLIDAY 

 
The Chemka Pool will be opening this Saturday, May 27 for the summer season!
Passes may be purchased at the community center during normal business hours this week or at the pool this weekend. Proof of residency is required to be shown for all memberships - renewing and new.
 
Opening Weekend Pool Hours:
Saturday 5/27: 10am -- 8pm
Sunday 5/28: 10am -- 8pm
Monday 5/29: 10am -- 8pm
 
Weekday Hours: 3pm -- 8pm
Weekend Hours: 10am -- 8pm
 
Saturday is "Free Day" for residents -- no need for a pool pass (*There is no rain date for Free Day*) All passes must be shown starting Sunday 5/28.
If you still need your picture taken for your pool pass, Saturday is the only day THIS weekend that can be done. Otherwise, pictures may be taken at the Pool or Recreation Department starting Tuesday 5/30 during normal business hours.

Memorial Day Parade Sunday, May 28th at 2PM

The Parade Committee is looking for convertibles to provide transportation for the Honorees and some VFW members who would like to "march" in the parade.
If anyone has a convertible car and is willing to provide a ride for a Veteran.
Cars line up on Croton Ave off of Chauncy Lane(Hastings High School Reynolds Field) at 1:30PM. Step Off is at 2PM.
The Parade Route is Chauncy Lane and Faragut Avenue.
March across Farragut Ave. down Main Street to Warburton to North Street.

TRAFFIC  ADVISORY

 
The 2016 Memorial Day Parade will be held on Sunday May 29, 2016 and will commence at 2PM. 
 
Route:
Chauncy Lane to Main St to Warburton Ave to North St to Maple Ave to Southside Ave.
Parking Restrictions:
No Parking will be allowed on Chauncy Lane from 1 PM to 3PM from the Five Corner Intersection to Far Lane Drive
No Parking will be allowed on Main St, Warburton Avenue, North St, and Spring St from 1PM to 4PM
No Parking will be allowed in the Chase bank Parking lot from 1PM to 4PM
 
Road Closures:
From 1PM until approximately 2:30 PM no vehicular traffic will be allowed to travel on Far Lane Drive.
From 1PM until approximately 2:30 PM no vehicular traffic will be allowed to travel on South Drive except for residents who will be allowed to enter and exit this roadway via Villard Avenue.
From 1PM until approximately 2:30 PM no vehicular traffic will be allowed to travel on South Calumet Avenue except for residents who will be allowed to enter and exit this roadway via Villard Avenue.
From 1PM until approximately 2:30 PM no vehicular traffic will be allowed to travel on Croton Avenue except for residents who will be allowed to enter and exit this roadway via Villard Avenue.
From 1PM until approximately 3:30 PM Main St. will be closed to vehicular traffic.
From 1PM until Approximately 4 PM Warburton Avenue from Washington Avenue to Main St. and From Villard Avenue to Broadway will be closed to a vehicular traffic
From 1PM until approximately 5PM Warburton Avenue from Main St to Villard Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
 
 
Please be advised the Hastings on Hudson Police Department will make every effort to reopen the mention closed roadways as soon as possible. On Memorial Day, Monday May 29th, 2017, Bee-Line buses and Paratransit will operate on a Sunday schedule

To help you get a jump on the Memorial Day holiday - the unofficial start of summer - Metro-North has extra early getaway service on Friday, May 26 and plenty of trains to get you to your destination during the long three-day weekend.
On Saturday, May 27 & Sunday, May 28, a regular weekend schedule will be in effect.
 
On Monday, May 29, Memorial Day, a Sunday schedule will be in effect on the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven Lines.
 
Grand Central North will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC) will suspend most construction activities over the long weekend. In accordance with Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Drivers First initiative, no construction-related lane closures are scheduled on or near the New NY Bridge project site from 6 a.m. Friday, May 26, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 30. Certain maintenance, safety and security work will continue during the weekend.
