Bulk trash other than metal and electronics will now be picked up on your regular garbage collection day – Monday or Tuesday. Phone calls are no longer required for non-metal and non-electronic bulk pickup. If you have a large amount of bulk, you must spread it out over a few collection days.

Q.  What does non-metal bulk include?

A.  Furniture, mattresses, box springs, carpeting, toys, paint cans, vacuum cleaners that are mostly plastic, glass, plastic, small amounts of wood, etc.

Q.  How should wood be put outside? What about carpeting?

A.  Both wood and carpeting must be cut to 4’ lengths, tied or taped in bundles, not more than 40 pounds per bundle. Only small amounts of wood are picked up.

Q.  What should I do with paint cans?

A.  Add kitty litter to make the paint thicken and congeal. The paint must be thick enough that it won’t splatter around the truck. Leave the lids off.

Q.  Do you pick up construction debris?

A.  No. We do not pick up any construction debris – i.e., sheetrock, lumber, tiles, insulation, etc. Please contact your contractor or a private carter.

Q.  What about metal trash?

Q.  What does metal trash include?

A.  Stoves, refrigerators (doors must be removed), washing machines, clothes dryers, toasters, microwave ovens, dehumidifiers, filing cabinets, tools, metal bed frames, vacuum cleaners that are mostly metal, etc.

Q.  When can electronics be picked up?

Q.  What electronics are included?

A.  Computer monitors, hard drives, printers, keyboards, VCRs, DVD players, stereo equipment (except speakers), radios, telephones (corded or cordless, but not cell), shredders, space heaters, etc.
