Upcoming schedule changes for the Youth Advocate Program at the Lower Level of the Community Center:
•Saturday, May 29th will be our last Saturday open until September. We will be closed on Saturdays for the summer.
•Friday night YAP will end on June 18th. We will be closing at 5PM on Fridays during the summer.
•Wednesday night Pool Yap from 8PM-10PM will start on July 7th! Weather permitting, we will host Pool Yap at the Chemka Pool from 8-10PM on the following nights: July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11, and August 18. Ask Jenny or Bill if you are interested in participating or have questions.
Also, Safe Rides only operates during the school calendar year and will not be available in July and August.
Our Summer Hours are:
Monday through Thursday 9AM-7PM
Friday 9AM-5PM
Come and enjoy spending time with the Hastings Youth Advocate Program located at the James V. Harmon Community Center, Lower Level.
The Community Center is a great place to meet up with friends or make new ones, shoot a game of pool, play ping pong, use computers, watch a movie, do homework, or play a video game. Special programs and activities are hosted throughout the year and are announced by mail, email, and flyers. and/or WHoH-TV, Channel 75.
Such activities include, but are not limited to: movies, Pool Yap, Friday Night YAP (at the school), Summer Arts Theater, open mic nights, live music performances, homework help, video game tournaments, Safe Rides, Hillside lunch bunch groups, and grade level parent meetings.
The Youth Advocate Program also offers support to families in need and provides counseling services, as well.
