File of Life is a new program offered by the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson Recreation Department. It is designed to bring all your important medical information to the attention of Emergency Medical Technicians in the case of an emergency.
The File of Life is a red plastic magnetic file folder that attaches to your refrigerator. There is also a miniature wallet-size File of Life. The file contains vitally important information about you so emergency medical professional have quick access to your basic medical information.
This information includes:
~Medications that you take
~Allergies you have
~Your Medical Conditions
~Your Blood Type
~Emergency Contact Information
~Your Physician’s Name
~Your Preferred Hospital
These free File of Life packets are available at the James Harmon Community Center for Senior Citizens who are residents of Hastings-on-Hudson. The File of Life is limited to one per person and is only available while supplies last.
