The DRAFT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
FOR THE VILLAGE OF HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON
Over the past three years, the Village, under the leadership of the Comprehensive Plan Committee, conducted an extensive public outreach process in the preparation of the draft Comprehensive Plan. The goals of the Plan are to continue to protect the Village’s quality of life, to promote downtown vitalization, to support fiscally responsible and sustainable (re)development and to protect Village’s natural resources and environmental quality.

MARCH UPDATE
All of the revised draft recommendations for the Comprehensive Plan are now posted on the Village website. These recommendations are a result of public input and discussion from public meetings held this past spring and revised through a series of meetings with the community this fall and winter.
We thank the many volunteers who worked with us to review the recommendations, and the community residents, village staff and board members who made the time to join us at our public meetings. Their expertise, comments and concern for our Village helped the committee refine and focus the recommendations.
The draft Comprehensive Plan, to be released in March/April, will be a more advanced document with text, graphics, maps, and more detailed recommendations.
The committee will hold a work session to review the draft plan before posting a final draft for the community to review. After the Draft Plan is released, there will be~a series of discussion sessions on the draft~Plan, which will be held in April. Those dates are April 6, April 11 and April 21.
We are excited that after nearly two and a half years of hard work on the part of the CPC, PPSA, the Deputy Village Manager and the residents of Hastings, we will have a draft Comprehensive Plan. With your help and input, we believe this Plan is one we can all be proud of, and most importantly, will successfully guide Hastings-on-Hudson into the future.
