Starting March 18th 2014 The Warburton Avenue Bridge with be going through rehabilitation.
Parking Spaces under the bridge will be blocked off
The County of Westchester will be undertaking a bridge rehabilitation project on Warburton Avenue between Main Street and Washington Avenue in the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson.
The work will include steel repairs to the bridge girders, bridge deck replacement, sidewalk repairs, bridge lighting and new asphalt pavement The project will entail traffic detours through the construction area.
Please note that while every effort has been made to minimize the impact of the project, some noise and dust are to be expected, particularly during demolition operations.
The project is expected to begin on March 18, 2014 and will be completed by late 2015. Due to the limited width of the bridge, only one-way southbound traffic will be maintained and a northbound detour will be posted. We anticipate 4-6 weeks of preparation work prior to
iplementation of the detour in May. Once the detour begins, parking will not be allowed on the bridge and limited off-structure between Main Street and Washington Avenue for the duration of the project. A pedestrian sidewalk will be maintained throughout the construction project.
In addition, some parking spaces below the bridge in the Village Train Station Parking Lot will be blocked off beginning the week of March 17.
The County has been working closely with the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson to coordinate our efforts and minimize disturbance during the project work period. We thank you very much for your patience and cooperation during this much needed project.
