VILLAGE OF HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON

Dear Fellow Residents,
We wanted to let all of you know that MaryJane Shimsky, County Legislator,
12th District, Westchester County Board of Legislators, has secured a
contract for services for the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson in the amount of
$4,200 for the purchase of municipal recycling bins in honor of Earth Day.
This contract will enable the Village to provide recycling receptacles
downtown, thereby encouraging greater compliance with county laws and
regulations that pertain to recycling and conservation. The receptacles will
be distributed between the commercial area of Warburton and Main streets and
the southern section of Fulton Park, next to the library.

The Village is delighted to support the Westchester County Board of
Legislators in its recycling efforts, and together with our Green Team, our
Conservation Commission, our Parks and Recreation Commission and the Board
of Trustees, we heartily thank MaryJane for this super initiative.
Happy Earth Day to everyone!
