Saturday's April 9th OUTDOOR farmers market moves to the Municipal Building Parking Lot 9 a.m. to 1 p.m
This Saturday, April 9th, the Hastings market moves outside but we are still on our "monthly" schedule and keeping our winter hours: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Hastings Farmers Market dose not start weekly until June 4th.
This month, Taiim restaurant will have a table at the market and will be selling their creamy hummus and other salads from their hip falafel shack on Warburton Ave.
Also back after a very long hiatus: Calcutta Kitchens and their tangy, aromatic "simmer sauces." Aditi's latest concoction is a simmer sauce made with coconut milk and coriander -- perfect for the fresh and flaky hake or cod Pura Vida is likely to bring to market tomorrow.
Kontoulis Olive Oil will be here as well...so don't forget to bring your bottles to refill. Their new batch of olive oil is much grassier than last year's. Guaranteed to put some va va voom in your vinaigrette.
Honey Locust Farmhouse hopes to bring some nettle pesto to market.
The Little League Parade will commence at 9AM in front of the American Legion of Farragut Avenue and will continue down Farragut Ave / Pkwy to High St to Uniontown Field

Southbound Traffic will be diverted to Merrill Street and will be allowed to travel southbound on Rosedale Avenue. Additionally, the Little League has requested no parking be allowed in the Uniontown Field Parking Lot.
Getting a U.S. Passport just got easier.
As new passport requirements go into effect I want to remind the residents of Hastings-on-Hudson that our staff will be at Village Hall on Saturday, April 9th to process passport applications from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Passports have always been a necessary document for those who traveled outside of the North American continent, but now a U.S. Passport will be required for travel even closer to home. So as you are planning your next vacation or business trip, here are some things to keep in mind:
Do not wait until the last minute: Apply now. Routine passport applications generally take approximately four to six weeks. For an additional charge, expedited service will result in your obtaining your passport in two to three weeks. But only in emergency circumstances can a passport application be processed more quickly, so do not delay. The new rules: As of January 23, 2007, everyone, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda is required to have a passport or other acceptable documentation in order to enter the United States. Requirements have been extended to adults traveling by land or sea. And please note that many cruise lines are already requiring a passport to travel to any destination outside of the United States.
Be sure to bring the proper documentation: You will need proof that you are a United States citizen such as a previous unexpired U.S. Passport, an original or certified copy of your birth certificate, a consular report of birth abroad or a naturalization certificate. You will also need proof of your identity such as a current valid driver’s license or a government issued identification card. The fee for an adult passport is $135.00 and for a child’s passport is $105.00. Our staff can take your photo for an additional $10.00 fee. Expedited service costs an additional $60.00 for each passport application which must be expedited. The fees for the new U.S. Passport Card limited to land and sea border travel are $55.00 for adults and $40.00 for children. Fees can be paid in cash or by check.
Be sure to bring original documents with raised seals to avoid having to make a second trip. If you have questions about whether you have what you need to apply, do not hesitate to call our office at 995-3086 weekdays or visit our website at www.westchesterclerk.com.
