WHoH-TV has been awarded a 2010 Pegasus Award of Honor for PSA
WHoH-TV Honored With National Pegasus Award
 
WHoH-TV (Cablevision 75 & FIOS 43) has been awarded a 2010 Pegasus Award of Honor for an 8-minute Public Service Announcement called “Home Alone & Hungry”.  The Pegasus Awards are the video industry’s premier competition for recognition of exemplary video production work produced by non-broadcast video professionals.  This is the third Pegasus Award for WHoH-TV.  WHoH-TV was awarded the 2008 Award of Distinction for “The James Harmon Community Center Dedication” and the 2007 Award of Distinction for “Parking @Boulanger Plaza PSA”.

 “Home Alone & Hungry” was recognized for its outstanding production quality in the Government category of Public Service Announcements.  This production was assessed by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country. 

 The video was created from an idea that Pam Koner and Jeanne Shanahan of TheHomeworkClubProgram.com, for kids to use as an educational tool on how to make healthy snacks after school.  Pam Koner is the President and Founder of the Homework Club, which has been helping meet the needs of Hastings' families and working parents since 1994.  The production, filmed and edited by WHoH-TV’s Cable Access Director, Jen Corso, is hosted by chef, Ellen Sledge and is designed to teach kids that eating healthy is fun.

Founded in 1996, by Technology Director, Rafael Zaratzian, WHoH-TV has been providing local programming to the Hastings-on-Hudson community for over a decade.
