Dear Olinda Ave or Hopke Ave Resident,
In an effort to remove the existing snow which has been accumulating on both Olinda Ave and Hopke Ave, and to widen the road to make it more passable for motorists and pedestrians, the DPW will be working on those streets from about 5:00am until 7:00am on Thursday morning, February 10th, 2011
Since there is already a prohibition against parking on those streets from 3am-6am every morning, no additional restrictions will be put in place. The Hastings DPW will remove as much snow as possible during the early morning hours, and parking will once again be allowed.
The Hastings on Hudson Police Department is asking all residents to make sure that their cars are removed so that the snow can effectively be removed as quickly as possible. Residents may, however, have to tolerate the noise of the snow removal equipment during that timeframe. The Hastings on Hudson Police Department will be blocking off access to Olinda Ave while snow is being removed so that the work can be completed as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your patience during this difficult winter season. The long range forecast for late next week is for temperatures in the 50’s!!! Lets hope!
David M. Bloomer
Chief of Police
