Brave New Worlds: Ritalin, Robots and Revolution - a Multi Media Art Exhibit
Please join us for our opening night reception @ 45 Main St. as 12 Milesnorth welcomes 60 SUNY Purchase students into the Hastings Community for light refreshments, conversation and their multi-media presentation.
Brave New Worlds: Ritalin, Robots and Revolution will feature original work by students at SUNY Purchase College the work will be installed and presented in collaboration with 12 Milesnorth.
Through visual art, music, poetry and performance, these artists investigate the geographic, political, social, technological, and aesthetic frontiers that most urgently confront us in the 21st century: what risks do they present? What role do art and literature play in our drive to discover new, better ways of living?
Curated by 12 Milesnorth and SUNY Purchase faculty, this exhibit offers the opportunity for a dynamic exchange between SUNY Purchase and the wider Westchester community. It also affords a space for academic inquiry and creative enterprise to inform and inspire one another.
Live Performance will be on December 6th! Additional viewing of media & art only December 7th from 6pm to 8pm.
