Holiday Show of Small Works and Wearable Art

Fourteen artists and fine craft persons are presenting their work and products in Hastings on Hudson at the James Harmon Community Center, 44 Main Street on December 4 and December 5, 2010. The public is invited to attend a Preview on Friday December 3 from 6 to 9pm and the show on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 5 pm.
Among the offerings will be fiber art works, ceramics, beaded and metal jewelry, fine millinery, handmade soaps, small arts works, handmade cards, recycled woolen and fiber accessories, decorative pillows and eco friendly products. The artists and craftsperson’s participating are, Isabel Becker, Bonnie Rodgers, Vicky Youngman, Alcinda Saphira, Eileen Joyce, Connie Kazal, Eiko Berkowitz, Janet Sikirica, Cary Gabeler, Lori Slater, Jennifer Orkin Lewis, Louise Cadoux, Jean Cassidy, Carolyn Kulkin and Donnie Hess.
Free children's art workshops will be offered as part of ArtsWestchester's Free Arts Weekend on Friday from 7 to 8:30pm and Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30.

1. BEADING WORKSHOP with Bonnie Rodgers. Make a beautiful necklace or bracelet to give as a gift or keep for yourself! All materials and supplies included.
2. PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP AGES 8 to 88 with Gary Gelb. In 15 minutes you will learn how to dramatically improve your travel/family photos, use special effects and even turn your friends into ghosts. Special tips on cell phone photography.
Saturday, December 4, 1:30 to 3:30pm
1. HOLIDAY DECORATIONS WORKSHOP with Sarah Schlosberg and Katerina Barry. Make your own festive decorations for the holiday season.
2. DOLL MAKING with Louise Cadoux. Using fabric and yarn scraps create a doll to take home for the holidays.
